Paris & Jacarriah Johnson believe their Goal as Youth Leaders... Are to help our young adults govern their tongue, body and daily activities in such a manner that is consistently glorifying God, as well as helping them to realize their aspect of being brothers and sisters to each other. To be servants to the Body of Christ by becoming more intimate with Christ on a personal level, as well as, helping those they serve capture the heart of God. Teaching them to recognize the gift of being one, and accept responsibility of knowing who they are, where they are, and where they are going in God's plans and purposes for their lives. "We consider it a blessing to help guide them in the way God would have them go. Take a look at the pictures from our "first ever" Sunday service. It was an awesome move of God!"
Here is a brief description of our Children's Department:
Nursery... The Nursery Ministry goal is to serve the parents of LWO by caring for infants and toddlers during church service. This service is neccessary so that parents can be effective in raising a generation of children to hear the voice of God. While the parents are being ministered to in the main service, the teachers, in turn, minister to the babies' physical, spiritual,and emotional needs.
PreTeen... The PreTeen Ministry are in the transitional stages of life. The teachers in this area become givers of the spiritual instruction from the Word of God under the guidance of the Holy Spirit through this time period. They create activities to train and educate the preteens on the importance of God in their lives.
Children's Church... This ministry caters to the "little persons" or children of LWO. They teach the Word of God to the children by example, illustrations, activities, songs, etc. The teachers in this area go out of their way to produce and provide activities or events for the children outside of Sunday and Wednesday.
